As mentioned previously, thermal imaging is used to measure temperature differences between different portions of your home, which don’t tell us specifically what might be wrong, but rather inform us that there could be a potential problem. For instance, excess moisture in the home can cause thermal differences. However, the source could be a leak in the roof, walls, or plumbing! In fact, thermal imaging can even register readings from termite infestations. Lastly, it’s important to note that thermal imaging can also detect potential problems with your electrical system. One possible precursor to an electrical fire is the presence of abnormal temperature hotspots. By identifying hotspots with thermal imaging, Bullseye Engineering Inspection can locate defective components and other electrical problems.

In that sense, it’s still a game-changer for detecting problems in hard-to-reach or completely inaccessible areas of your home.
